Upgrading to MT5
I’ve been contemplating jumping ship to WordPress for quite a while now, but I just haven’t had the time or motivation. So what I’ve decided to do is spend a day upgrading to Movable Type 5 instead… If MT5 gives me too much grief, I’ll just switch to WP. And if it works out well, I’ll have a chance to get used to the WordPress interface.

Daddy did something incredible and isolated a problem with the inverter for the broken LCD monitor, which enabled the broken component to be replaced by an unlicensed professional working out of an unventilated solder trap of a storefront. Here is a snapshot of daddy’s progress before Max came over to assault with a cup of yogurt:

Slogging through my cellphone photos
From September 2003 to May 2006, I ran a moblog as well as a moblog sidebar as a PHP include on this blog. I really liked it and think I was one of the most prolific adopters of moblogging at the time.This golden era ended when the gateway I used to e-mail blog entries from my phone suddenly died. I had put so much work into tweaking the sidebar publishing system and maintaining it over the years that I really couldn’t bear the idea of doing it half-assed with a flickr widget or starting over from scratch again, so I just omitted it from the design completely. Strange Firefox 3 Error
Version 3.0.3 to be exact. Error content: “The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression.” Can anybody using Firefox please see if you get the same error (click here) and post results in the comments? (Please ignore the content on that blog, I’m revamping it for classroom use) Other browsers seem to be unaffected. Clearing the cache didn’t help. Resetting Prefs didn’t help. Burning joss sticks and mumbling to the Buddha didn’t help.. And I’m not using a proxy.
