random thought….I wonder if any culture eats sea stars or if they’re totally, completely inedible, period.
I mean, look at jellyfish and sea cucumbers….slimy, non-nutritive organisms that are commonly used in some dishes….but sea stars with their spikey body armor….if the Chinese could have used them as a food source, I suppose it would have been done by now.
