I’m testing Google’s public DNS servers out. If your ISP’s DNS servers suck or you are just curious, you can try it out too: Configuring your network settings to use Google Public DNS
//
Note: They have the coolest IP addresses:
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4

You might try Google’s own DNS benchmarking software. It actually recommended a faster alternative to their own DNS servers:
http://code.google.com/p/namebench/
Let us know how the speed is from Thailand. I ran OpenDNS from Japan for a while, but it was noticably slower than when I switched back to my ISP’s DNS.
Give Steve Gibson’s DNS Benchmark a try to see if it is faster from your locale.
Great tips guys, thanks.
I also tried OpenDNS, but quit because it was slow and because of the Google redirections.
