Earthsea in Japan

From the desk of Ursula K. Le Guin: A First Response to “Gedo Senki,” the Earthsea film made by Goro Miyazaki for Studio Ghibli.
I think I may want to watch this one sometime (as opposed to the steaming pile that the Sci-Fi channel created a couple years ago)
(wow, 2 gandaaalf-ish posts in a row!)

I love books and film. I am disappointed when a great book becomes a shlocky movie, which is almost always the case. Ursula’s mistake was to allow Miyazaki’s inexperienced son to take over the project, since she’d already had a bad experince with the televised EarthSea trilogy project. Vomitosis, it was bad!
