Monks come around almost every morning to receive offerings from houses in the neighborhood. Some people give, some people don’t. We give quite often so I decided I should at least get a photo out of it.

BTW you should tell Micchan there’s a gift shop in our town that specializes in Nightmare Before Christmas stuff. We kind of walked in there when window shopping and tripped out.
How do you know the monks are in your ‘hood each AM? Do they chant, ring your door bell or manifest signs of the great Cosmic Buddha?
Nah, they just come around. If somebody wants to give, they wait for the monks outside their house. Thereafter, the monks kind of know the houses that give regularly and slow down when walking by.
In old Japan, the ladies never wore chones under their kimonos. How about the monks in Thailand?
