“Fermented maple fish sauce” sounds frighteningly nasty… but I’d try that, anyway. Looks delicious. You’re always mindful of presentation.
Thanks dood. The one thing I’ve (irritatingly) retained over the years is my appetite for things that look good, even though they don’t always taste the same. The somtam pancake is missing a flavor element, but I’m not sure I’m going to chase it – it just looks better than it tastes.
