Today I was greatly relieved to see that one of my innocent first year students had changed her e-mail address per my suggestion last week. I had been reluctant to use her previous address, lovelyhotlove@hotmail.com.

Reminds me of a bit that I read from a Polish game developer who thought the English phrase “pain killer” was in reference to, I dunno, someone who kills by using pain. He was bummed when he found out that it was just a type of medicine.
More closely related is when I was driving a German exchange student ( friend of our exchange student) home and she used the word ‘pissed’ in a sentence. I figured that had to be hard to brew up when to properly use that mild curse. Obligatory swear expletives and adjectives are easy enough, but adverbs, oye!
